iNterests and background
I'm biologist interested in understanding how species distribution are affected by anthropogenic global environmental change and how to revert the ongoing biodiversity decline. My work examines the conservation biology of species and their interactions and the resulting consequences in terms of changes in ecosystem processes and services under a multiscale landscape and biogeography perspective.
I have PhD in Ecology and Conservation from Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul-Brazil supervised by Erich Fischer. I've acted as a researcher at Stanford University-EUA supervised by Rodolfo Dirzo, at São Paulo State University-Brazil supervised by Mauro Galetti, and in the Conservation Science Group at University of Cambridge-UK supervised by Andrew Balmford.
Currently, I’m Postdoc Researcher in the Section for Molecular Ecology and Evolution at University of Copenhagen-Denmark, supervised by Bo Dalsgaard.
I will soon embark on a research journey in Bascompte's lab at the University of Zurich-CH supported by the prestigious Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships (SNSF).
